Soos Creek Botanical Gardens

(1/1)

bossgard:

I have 10 photos of SCBG that I'm trying to send to the Forum, including the 1st one sent yesterday.

I am getting pop-up message that reads:

"Sorry! There is already an attachment with same file name as the one you tried to upload.
Please rename the file and try again"

The path reads 'C: Forum SCBG\ 100_0434.jpg'.

This is probably because of the work I did with these same photos yesterday.
How do I rename a file? I will probably have to rename all 10 photos.

How many of the 10 photos can I send at one time?

ideasguy:
I'm puzzled by that message you are getting to deny uploading the photo given, Toby.
Ive checked the forum attachments folder and that file name is unique, so should be able to be posted.
Ive now had a look at the Attachments settings and the names of the files which are already uploaded. Done see any reason why your photos can not be uploaded.
I'll check into that in more detail later today.

Do you get the same message if you try another photo?
Dont try to upload the one you sent yesterday as it does already exist in the forum attachments folder.

When you click Attachments, it shows this info Toby:
Allowed file types: txt, doc, pdf, jpg, gif, mpg, png
Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 192KB, maximum individual size 128KB
I'd recommend you do one photo per posting to avoid problems.

To rename a file:
Open the folder on your computer.
Right click on the file name.
In the shortcut options, click Rename.
That will allow you to type and change the name of the file.

The great adavantage of my method of copying and pasting the code from flickr into the message is that there seems to be no limit on the number of pics I can include in one posting.
