Follow these steps Jacqui and you should be ok.

(1)  The picture you wish to use must be 65 pixels x 65 pixels in size.

(2)  Save it with a file extension of .gif.

(3)  I presume you have been allocated some web site server space from your Internet Provider, so you need to upload the pic there .

(4)  Then go into your Forum Profile, and under the section Personalized Picture select Specify avatar by URL.

(5)  An example of the URL path to use to see your piccy is shown to the right of that selection.  So for example, if your server domain is called mydomain.com, and you save all your images in a folder called images, and you name your Forum pic mypic.gif, then the full path to enter here would be:

http://www.mydomain.com/images/mypic.gif.  (Don't click this sample link as it's not an active one  :D )

(6)  Click the Change Profile button at the bottom to save your changes.  You should now see your profile pic.

If you have any problems just let us know  ;)

Laurie.

Thanks for posting this reply Laurie!

Here's an alternative method in Step 4.
Quote
4)  Then go into your Forum Profile, and under the section Personalized Picture   select Specify avatar by URL.
Go into your Forum Profile
Under the section Personalized Picture
Select Upload an Avatar
Click the Browse button.
This allows you to Browse on your own computer and locate the photo you wish to use as your avatar.
Your photo should appear
Click Save Profile
The photo will be uploaded to the web space on this server, reserved for member photos ( ;) ;) ;))

George - I thought you said I was good with computers!
Thanks for the advice Laurie but I am not sure what my Web Server space is and when I follow your advice George there is no option for me to browse from "choose avatar from galary".  What am I doing wrong?  Whoops#

Hi Jacqui
More challenges, eh?

There are four options under Personalized Picture
1) No avatar
2) Choose avatar from gallery
3) Specify avatar by URL
4) Upload an avatar

Choose (click) Option 4
Then click the Browse button and find the photo (on your own computer) you wish to use as your avatar.
Then click Save Profile

As Laurie has said, you need to use a small image photo 65 pixels x 65 pixels  in size.
If you need help, email the photo to me and I'll resize it for you.

Personalized Picture
No avatar
Choose avatar from gallery
Specify avatar by URL

These are the only options I have under Personalised Picture, nothing else.  I like to be different!!!!

Great it works but my picture is tiny tiny - I saved it as a gif 65 x 65 pixels as told - think I have to enlarge this?

Wow - I won!  That's me and Harold - I'm not really taller than him, just standing on a large rock!!!!  Thanks George and Laurie for your help.
I've just completed all my Bank downloads into Bank Genie and very pleased with myself.  H has just got to work out how to make the reports he needs.

Well, that should now be easy enough. They are all in the Bank Genie Transaction Analyser program. Look for the Reports pop-up (with loads of flavours of reports) bottom right of screen.
