Palustris:
Paeony Ancluvita. Anyone have a stab at an id of this for us please?
On the reverse of the label is JH1745 Kazakstan
Been asked if anyone can put a proper name to this pant.
TIA

Trevor Ellis:
Strange one Eric.
Nothing comes up in Google, RHS plantfinder etc  as I'm sure you already know. Is the second part of the name a species/group or a cultivar name? I noticed that in your post you used an upper case 'A' which would seem to confirm that. Something of a mystery eh?

newplantguy:
Not a name I recognize but the code JH1745 Kazakhstan looks very much like a collections number, it was collected by someone on a plant hunting trip. You could try contacting the Hardy Plant Society or maybe Kew they may have it recorded somewhere.

Palustris:
Will try the Paeony Society. Difficult to know since there is no date on the collection label.

ideasguy:
I agree with Paul that its a collectors reference.
Thought at first it might be Sir Joseph Dalton Hooker
Found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Dalton_Hooker

BUT: Just did a search on the text by viewing the source of that document.
No find for Kazakstan or Ancluvita
