Poor service!
«

Last weekend I bought some Auriculas from Hillview Hardy Plants in Worfield near Bridgnorth. when I got home I discovered they were riddled with root aphids. I Emailed the nursery , but have heard nothing from them so, I feel free to tell everyone that they patronise this place at their own risk.
If it would not have cost as much to return them as buying them in the first place I would have gone straight back and demanded my money back. As it is I have bare rooted them and replanted in my own compost (would have done this anyway as I dislike pure peat) and watered with Provado.
What would you have done?

Phone them is the best way Eric.
We use Dobies, T and M, Van Muewen, and Parkers for plants like bare root Phlox to grow on for our sales bench.
We do get dud plants, but in all of those mentioned they have replaced them after a phone call, and that is after 4 or 5 months since receiving them We grow them on in pots during the winter, under cover and look after them. By Spring we can soon see which have failed.
So go for it tell them what you think.

Eric, I agree with Malcolm.
It's possible that no-one is checking emails regularly, which could account for the delayed response.
Whereas if you ring them you actually get a member of their staff instantly to explain your problem.
Laurie.

Have just posted this message on every garden site I can find. Their customer loss, their stupidity. And when I go to AGS shows and meetings I shall tell everyone I see about them too!

From their website
"Any complaints must be made in writing within 7 days of the receipt of the goods. The distance selling law states that purchasers have 7 days after receipt of goods, to change their mind and cancel the order, in writing."

That is if you buy Mail order though, is it not. Personally I would not buy anything from them ever again.
