oohh that works did shannon because as the crow flies it the nearer than limerick and newcastle west is not known and my village does not exist  ;D  ::) and the extended forecast is rain  ::)

Just remember please that for some of us this slows the site down so badly that it becomes unusable.

Now that is a very valid point, Eric, for those (like you) on dial up.

Try this Eric:
Go into your forum profile
Click Look and Layout preferences
Click the checkbox (to set on) Don't show users' signatures

The banners will not be shown as the members are putting them in their signatures
Does that work for you?

yes good point i did not even think of that myself, let us know how you get on with georges suggestion and if that does not work i will gladly remove my one for you,
