River Cottage Scones

<< < (2/2)

Scott:
This reminds me of some great scones that I had in Co Clare.  I think it was the fruit that I enjoyed but bottom line they weren't dry like others I had.  I've never made them but this recipe called for a type of sugar I believe (ach, I've forgotten the name already- too late in the evening!) that was new for me.  Probably not a major issue and regular granulated sugar would be fine.

Scones aren't as common here but when you get a good one.............ah, there's nothing like them!

Nothing to beat fresh baked goodies, and fresh baked scones are a real treat, Scott.

Today we had banana bread. Tara and her friend Erin (oddly not from here in Ireland but from US) were home at the weekend.
Erin used one of her recipes. Two well ripened bananas required in the recipe, and they brought them with them from Manchester!
Anyway, it was delicious.
