New label - US Letter size 16 labels per sheet (Richtext)
« on: June 18, 2009, 01:03:33 AM »
Heres another label template for US paper sizes.
Id like everyone to try this as I have a few sheets of special paper sent to me from the US for testing, all organised by the Boss (Toby)
More about the samples and volunteers in another topic when this label is tested.

This template is designed for PORTRAIT shaped photos

With this template, all users will be able to Preview
Printing requires US Letter size paper, but in UK etc you should be able to print "something" using A4 paper.

2 Downloads:
a) GA048
http://www.ideasgenie.com/updates-igpro/GA048-dl.exe

b) Labels:
http://www.ideasgenie.com/updates-igpro/labelcds-dl.exe

Start IG Pro
Under Labels tab start GA048
Should indicate Version 29 when started up

In the Select a Label pop-up, select US (Letter Size) Landscape 4x4
Click on the New Labels button
Proceed as normal to add plants to the sixteen label images in the template.
Click Edit.
This takes you to the screen with the richtext options.

Tips:
Since the labels are quite small I found they looked best with either Arial or Times New Roman Fonts
Font sizes I used were 7pt for text on the right and below the photo.

The font size is very difficult to read when editing, so I suggest you add all the text with the font size larger.
When label text is complete, change the text to a smaller size.
If you've good eyesight you may not need to so that, of course

See what you can come up with.

Thanks Malcolm.
Is that layout/label size of any use to you?
(Good luck on your open day!!)

What did you do to get that locontrol message Phil.
I'd like the exact steps up until it happened.
Start with clicking Edit to get to screen GA048S08

also when i start IGPRO it says no disc in drive click cancel get normal front screen could these 2 be related in some way, i did have a disc in my drive for installing eircom broadband today
I don't think that is related, but yes, it is interesting.
I got the same message on my day time computer after having been using a disc in the drive.
If you get it again, try a reboot. Does that clear it.
Click Ignore and it will be OK to continue.

Perfectly explained.
Ive been able to recreate the error. A simple fix required. Later this evening.

Meanwhile, the workaround is very simple.
You have to click (or RIGHT click) into one of the Data regions BEFORE clicking any of the buttons in the Sources for Text block of buttons
Bear in mind that the data returned from those buttons can apply to any one of the three Rich Text data regions
You have to tell it which one before going off to get the data.

If you so that, you wont get that error.
Please confirm.

They are like beautiful flowers at a Nursery - do I have to narrow it down to just one  ;D
OK if just one, I'd try a slice of that Plum and Almond - no, wait a minute,  Pear, Chocolate and Hazlenut cake orrrrr Carrot cake...   :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
Tough decisions there, Malcolm!

How about posting the recipes some time?
