User Guide - Introduction

Gardening is something to be enjoyed, and the most enjoyable aspect is experimenting with plants.
Flower Genie is designed to help you do that, in a professional yet fun way.

This User Guide will help you master all the aspects of this fantastic software, and help you create the garden of your dreams.

You will succeed if you have the willingness to spend time plant hunting on-line, and enjoy researching the plants you find using Flower Genie confidently.

To get a head start with building up your database of plants, Its important that you learn how to use our exciting new resource - The Master Database of Plants and Gardens, built using Flower Genie’s “big brother”, Ideas Genie Pro.

Fortunately, gardeners are renowned for their willingness to share their experience, and their plants.
We encourage that in our Flower Genie and Ideas Genie projects. We’ve provided the Ideas Genie Community Forum, where all our software users are invited to register, meet felllow gardeners from all over the world, ask questions, identify mystery plants, and pool their resources - the names of the plants they grow by region, and photos of their plants.
Our project aim is to accumulate this information in the Master Database .

We’ve designed Flower Genie to allow you to explore this Master Database of Plants and Gardens,
In this User Guide you’ll find a session explaining how to browse this database for ideas and inspiration, and how to copy delightful plants to your own database.

Keen amateur gardeners will agree with me when I say, theres nothing in this world as nice as walking around your own garden.

Its “you”. Throughout the season it is packed with surprises. The sight of one of your favorite plants bursting into bloom. A waft of scent - beautiful, which plant is it? A group of plants looking fantastic in combination

I hope Flower Genie helps you to achieve that goal.
